I’ve been using the original Garnier Micellar Cleansing Water for such a long time now. The one I’m currently using is probably about my fourth bottle. I have no complaints on it whatsoever so when I saw this new, ‘oil-infused’ micellar water from the same brand I had to see if it was any good and what the difference was. It’s also good to note that the Garnier Micellar Cleansing Water’s are all 2 for £7 at the moment on the Boots website as well as selected stores.
The Oil-Infused Cleansing water retails for a pound more than the Micellar Cleansing water at £5.99.
The Oil-Infused Cleansing water has a layer of oil within the product, which is meant to dissolve water proof and stubborn make up. I will say that it does help to remove eye make up very well and helps to dissolve and break down the product with not too much effort. However, try to not get the product in your eye as it does kind of sting, unlike the original cleansing water that doesn’t string if you get it in your eye. I would definitely not recommend using this product to remove face make up. The product claims to be ‘non greasy’ but my skin felt so oily afterwards, baring in mind I have dry skin. It wasn’t just oily after I applied it as well, throughout the day I noticed my skin looking like an oily mess. It’s probably more aimed at removing eye make up due to the oil within the product. Make sure that you shake the bottle before applying as this works best in my experience.
Would I repurchase? Probably not. I feel like the Garnier Micellar Cleansing Water does everything I need, in terms of make up removal on eyes, face and lips.
