The Benefit ‘Hoola’ powder bronzer is a classic in the beauty world and has been hyped up loads, so when these new products with the theme of ‘hoola’ came out I really wanted to see if they would live up to my expectations. The collection brings you a Liquid bronzer (Dew the Hoola), an all-over body bronzer (Hoola Zero Tanlines) and a Bronzer brush. The brush looks absolutely stunning and was so soft when I felt it in store, so I hope to get my hands on that soon. But for now, I’ve been playing with the other two products for a while now and I shall review them for you today.
Hoola zero tanlines body bronzer
I’ve never been one for self tanning but this year I thought I would take the plunge, hoping this product would give me a good place to start. It claims to be transfer resistant, a buildable colour and last 12 hours. Within the lid, there is a sponge you can use for application of the bronzer which I think is such a great idea, as it helps to get a smooth, non-patchy application. But my favourite thing about this is the colour. It’s a warm light bronze colour that looks really natural on the skin.
You can see in this picture the difference between my skin on the left side to the right side, the right side looking warmer and healthier. It does not transfer onto clothes which is a huge plus and also dries very quickly to a natural matte finish. However, I just wish it would last a little longer on the skin, I understand that it is a body bronzer and not a self-tanner but I wouldn’t agree that it lasts the full 12 hours that it claims. Nonetheless, I think this is a perfect product for a quick all over bronze for a night out or a special occasion.
Dew the hoola liquid bronzer
I’ve never tried a liquid bronzer before so when this launched I was super excited to give it a go. With the powder version being such a cult favourite, I had high expectations for this product and I would say they were met. You can use this bronzer mixed in with your foundation for an all over bronze, or on the areas where the sun would naturally hit. I like using this product both ways as the formula blends really easily into the skin, leaving a soft matte finish on the skin. The colour is a warm soft brown, much like the Hoola Zero Tanlines, but just a little bit lighter.
My favourite way to apply is with a dual fibre brush and buff this into areas where you would normally apply your powder bronzer (cheekbones, sides of forehead, nose and jawline). The finish is so natural and I am completely obsessed, have been wearing it every time I’ve worn make up since I bought it.
So overall I’m really impressed with this new collection and would 100% recommend you giving them a try!
