Warm colours are my favourite shades to wear on my eyes and I’ve been loving this really easy smokey look recently. It’s using my favourite palette which I mentioned in my Products worth the hype post, the Too Faced Chocolate Bar Palette. This look is perfect for the daytime but also for an evening occasion.
To start off, apply a primer so as the eyeshadows glide on smoothly. I love the Kiko Eye Base which was in my most recent Monthly Favourites. Then set the primer with a light neutral colour. I used ‘white chocolate’ from the palette.
Then I go in with, ‘milk chocolate’, a light mid tone brown, dusting it into the crease as well as all over the lid for a nice wash of colour. I also used ‘Salted Caramel’ to add more warmth. This shade also works as a perfect transition for the crease as well. I used a fluffy brush to do this.
Taking a more tapered crease brush, apply a slightly deeper shade into the outer V and into the crease as well. I used ‘semi-sweet’, which is a more cool toned brown which will add more definition. Remember to use that fluffy brush to blend out the edges.
For the lid, I mixed ‘Hazelnut’ and ‘Haute Chocolate’ to create a pretty bronze lid, with slight shimmer. Use a dense flat brush to pack this onto the lid. Reapply to get the intensity that you want, blending as you go.
I took a slightly fluffier flat brush to apply, ‘creme brulee’, a gorgeous gold, just in the centre of the eyes to create a halo effect.
Finally, to balance out the eyes, take the first shades you used (milk chocolate + salted caramel) and apply this with a pencil brush on the lower lash line and blend this to give a more smokey effect. I also like to highlight the inner corner with ‘champagne truffle’ and the brow bone with, ‘white chocolate’. Add loads of mascara and you are done!
This is the finished look! Hope you like it xo
